Cordura® Nylon is rugged and waterproof. Water will stand in a pool without dripping through. (Durable Water Repellency (DWR) fabric coating is partly responsible. This coating can lose some of its effectiveness through laundering or abrasion from clothing. In our glass bowl demonstration (see above), if we scratched the fabric at the bottom of the pool of water with our fingernails, water would begin to ooze through.)
One customer called us with a real-life example. He and a buddy left their pickup to set goose decoys. A dog was in the cab of the pickup. The dog knocked over two coffee containers, spilling on the SuperHides seat covers. When the hunters returned, they mopped up the mess and returned home. They removed the seat covers. No coffee had soaked through even though the seat covers were over a year old.
